In the economy, market structures are examined thoroughly. There are four basic kinds of market structures in economics: perfect competition, monopolistic competition, oligopoly, and monopoly. Perfect competition is the one that is being focused on predominantly. â€Å"A perfectly competitive market is a market in which all market participants are price takers† (Krugman Wells 1). â€Å"Price takers are producers and consumers whose actions have no effect on the market price of the good† (Krugman Wells 1). A perfect competitive market structure consists of three aspects that will be discussed. When perfect competition comes to mind, the Organic Food Market structure can be associated to it or the perfectly competitive market industry. In the Organic market, all the farmers in the industry are each producing the same product for the buyers and sellers. It is workable ethical theory and it has been found in the headlines of news that the leader and head of the Samsung Company, Lee Jae-young, was arrested on corruption charges. The ethical dilemma of new generated phone that is Samsung galaxy note 7 recalls, it has shown that Samsung is not able to grab the moral theory of utilitarianism. It has been argued by Jung, (2014),that utilitarianism ethic theory is able to maximize the utility. The stakeholders of the company has affected due to ethical dilemma of Samsung Company. It is an embarrassing moment whe n the head of the company did those things which is sound unethical. The management of the company and the user of the products of Samsung company have to face issues because the smart phones are not usually recycled and the loss of phones due to lack of awareness of engineer brought a huge loss for the company Deontology is another ethical theory which covers the moral views. It is the ethical theory which refers that people should adhere to their obligations and responsibilities while engaging in the process of decision making especial when ethics are vital at that place. It covers so many positive attributes and it defines that a person should follow obligations to another individual because it is right in the view of ethic theory to uphold one duty. For example, people who follow this theory always keep his promises and do not think to breach the law. A person with deontological theory will generate reliable decision (Crane, Matten, 2016). This theory is not followed by Samsung Company because the ethical dilemma of Samsung Note 7 recall and bribe case shows that company is not producing or generating products under ethical consideration because the latest product of Samsung is not genuine and got blast. The batteries in some galaxy Note 7 caught fire. However, Samsung recalled the Note 7 and gave promise to exchange the phone with a new model with ne battery which would be examined carefully and it has been found in the report of Dolcourt, (2017), that some replaced phone burned up too. It reflects the unethical behavior of Samsung towards the customer satisfaction. In the view of stakeholders, Samsung did not follow this theory and reduce the trust of them over the company. Another dilemma is also a reflection of not following the ethical behaviour within the company and outside aswell. It is the prior ethic of every company to do not take bribe for wrong thing and Lee Jae-Yong took bribe and got jailed for five years. It shows the unethical behaviour because Mr. Lee is the first head of the Conglomerate and arrested on corruption charges. It is not the only charge which has been put on, along with that illegal transfer of property in to abroad, embezzlement and committing perjury while the hearing of parliamentary. Yan, Xing, Zhang Ma, (2015) argued that the management decision is important for the company because it has the huge impact which can change the environment of the company. As discussed that Samsung Company is involved in various ethical dilemmas from which various stakeholders of the company get influenced. Managerial ethics is considered as an integral set of principles and rules which is dictated by the upper management and able to describe that what is right and what is wrong in an organization. Principal based ethics defines the importance of fairness and ethical decision at the workplace and involve relevant information related to the boundaries of department.On the other hand policy based managerial ethics defines the interest of conflicts, the corrective response to the stakeholder for their gifts or managing the proprietary informati on. Ethical decision making is compulsory for the every company because it shows the ethical behaviour of the company. However, there are so many issues has arisen in the company related to ethical but Samsung has shown the positive attitude towards their customers and send the apologetically letter. The company is ready to exchange the product or refund the cash in case of exploded phone. A company of Samsung should change its environment into positive by taking ethical decision because it is important or the company to make the decision in the favor of company and set certain rules and policies which should not breached by anyone. By considering the above statement it shall be noted that such decision making has a major share in achieving the objectives defined by the company. A positive ethical decision making executed by the leader initiates a positive effect on the working of the organization or vice versa (Christianson, 2014). It is the responsibility of the leader to concede them with their rights and duties in the organization with respect to the interest of stakeholders. The ethical decision made by ethical leaders will not be breached by employee of the company and should not harm the interest of stakeholders on the basis of ethics. The stakeholders of the company would not get dissatisfied due to effective ethical decision making. The above mentioned environment has been applied in the management of Samsung Company and it has been found that company is unable to apply such process this in the only reason of facing such ethical dilemmas by Samsung Company. 10 Good Reasons to Keep Studying on Holidays Holidays are the most perfect time of the year for a college student, and of course it is very tempting to start hanging out all the time and forget even about the existence of homework. Very often studies are associated with constant stress and deadlines, but with a right approach you can change things for the better and start to actually enjoy your homework! So why should you continue studying and how to make it more enjoyable? You can be your own boss Remember those papers with specific deadlines and the topics you dont actually like? Theres no need to follow these requirements anymore – you can do things you actually want to. Imagine that youre the professor who tells you what to do and what kind of assignments to complete. You dont have to rush anymore The hardest thing during the semester is the amount of work you receive and all the deadline which need to be followed. During the holidays you can create your own schedule – when and what to study. It will make things much easier and youll be free at nights to spend some time with your friends. You dont have to study in the classroom anymore The best way to concentrate on your studies is to change places where you study. Class rooms may be very boring, so you need to find another place. It is almost impossible to study at home, when you get distracted by your family. And it is tempting to start watching your favourite TV show instead of studying. Choose some other places where no one can disturb you – it can be a park, a coffee shop or a public library. You will be able not only to study, but also explore your city and find some new exciting places! You can choose different types of on-line education There is no need to stick to old class books – since you have a lot of free time now, try to use websites that offer on-line education like Coursera! It is very interesting, it will take about 4 hours of work during the week. The assignments are usually creative. On discussion boards you can meet new people from all around the globe. You will be able to explore new topics If you chose to take some classes on-line, you can retake the courses youve already learned this year, like marketing or economics, or you can try something totally new – start programming, learn some music theory or basic cryptography. Such new topics may be super exciting to learn, and you can expend your horizons. You will be ready for the next semester Remember the time when you got back from the school break and you forgot everything youve learned so far? It is easy to get distracted from the studies at summer, especially with all that partying and having fun. So if you study at least couple of times a week, you will notice your progress after everybody start a new school year. You can stay active and study at the same time You have a lot of free time at summer, so if you chose to study, you shouldnt forget about being active. On behalf of the great state of Illinois, crossroads of a nation, Land of Lincoln, let me express my deepest gratitude for the privilege of addressing this convention. Gratitude for Family Heritage Tonight is a particular honor for me because - let’s face it - my presence on this stage is pretty unlikely. My father was a foreign student, born and raised in a small village in Kenya. He grew up herding goats, went to school in a tin-roof shack. His father - my grandfather - was a cook, a domestic servant to the British. But my grandfather had larger dreams for his son. Through hard work and perseverance my father got a scholarship to study in a magical place, America, that shone as a beacon of freedom and opportunity to so many who had come before. While studying here, my father met my mother. She was born in a town on the other side of the world, in Kansas. Her father worked on oil rigs and farms through most of the Depression. The day after Pearl Harbor my grandfather signed up for duty; joined Patton’s army, marched across Europe. Back home, my grandmother raised their baby and went to work on a bomber assembly line. After the war, they studied on the G.I. Bill, bought a house through F.H.A., and later moved west all the way to Hawaii in search of opportunity. And they, too, had big dreams for their daughter. A common dream, born of two continents. My parents shared not only an improbable love, they shared an abiding faith in the possibilities of this nation. They would give me an African name, Barack, or †blessed,† believing that in a tolerant America your name is no barrier to success. They imagined me going to the best schools in the land, even though they weren’t rich, because in a generous America you don’t have to be rich to achieve your potential. They are both passed away now. And yet, I know that, on this night, they look down on me with great pride. I stand here today, grateful for the diversity of my heritage, aware that my parents’ dreams live on in my two precious daughters. I stand here knowing that my story is part of the larger American story, that I owe a debt to all of those who came before me, and that, in no other country on earth, is my story even possible. Tonight, we gather to affirm the greatness of our nation - not because of the height of our skyscrapers, or the power of our military, or the size of our economy. Greatness of America Our pride is based on a very simple premise, summed up in a declaration made over two hundred years ago: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. That they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights. That among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That is the true genius of America - a faith in simple dreams, an insistence on small miracles: - That we can tuck in our children at night and know that they are fed and clothed and safe from harm. - That we can say what we think, write what we think, without hearing a sudden knock on the door. - That we can have an idea and start our own business without paying a bribe. - That we can participate in the political process without fear of retribution, and that our votes will be counted at least, most of the time. This year, in this election, we are called to reaffirm our values and our commitments, to hold them against a hard reality and see how we are measuring up, to the legacy of our forbearers, and the promise of future generations. And fellow Americans, Democrats, Republicans, Independents - I say to you tonight: we have more work to do. - More work to do for the workers I met in Galesburg, Ill., who are losing their union jobs at the Maytag plant that’s moving to Mexico, and now are having to compete with their own children for jobs that pay seven bucks an hour. - More to do for the father that I met who was losing his job and choking back the tears, wondering how he would pay $4,500 a month for the drugs his son needs without the health benefits that he counted on. - More to do for the young woman in East St. Louis, and thousands more like her, who has the grades, has the drive, has the will, but doesn’t have the money to go to college. Now don’t get me wrong. The people I meet - in small towns and big cities, in diners and office parks - they don’t expect government to solve all their problems. They know they have to work hard to get ahead - and they want to. Go into the collar counties around Chicago, and people will tell you they don’t want their tax money wasted, by a welfare agency or by the Pentagon. Go into any inner city neighborhood, and folks will tell you that government alone can’t teach our kids to learn - they know that parents have to teach, that children can’t achieve unless we raise their expectations and turn off the television sets and eradicate the slander that says a black youth with a book is acting white. They know those things. People don’t expect government to solve all their problems.  But they sense, deep in their bones, that with just a slight change in priorities, we can make sure that every child in America has a decent shot at life, and that the doors of opportunity remain open to all. They know we can do better. And they want that choice. John Kerry In this election, we offer that choice. Our Party has chosen a man to lead us who embodies the best this country has to offer. And that man is John Kerry. John Kerry understands the ideals of community, faith, and service because they’ve defined his life. From his heroic service to Vietnam, to his years as a prosecutor and  lieutenant governor, through two decades in the United States Senate, he has devoted himself to this country. Again and again, we’ve seen him make tough choices when easier ones were available. His values - and his record - affirm what is best in us. John Kerry believes in an America where hard work is rewarded; so instead of offering tax breaks to companies shipping jobs overseas, he offers them to companies creating jobs here at home. John Kerry believes in an America where all Americans can afford the same health coverage our politicians in Washington have for themselves. John Kerry believes in energy independence, so we aren’t held hostage to the profits of oil companies, or the sabotage of foreign oil fields. And John Kerry believes that in a dangerous world war must be an option sometimes, but it should never be the first option. You know, a while back, I met a young man named Seamus in a V.F.W. Hall in East Moline, Ill.. He was a good-looking kid, six two, six three, clear eyed, with an easy smile. He told me he’d joined the Marines, and was heading to Iraq the following week. And as I listened to him explain why he’d enlisted, the absolute faith he had in our country and its leaders, his devotion to duty and service, I thought this young man was all that any of us might hope for in a child. But then I asked myself:  Are we serving Seamus as well as he is serving us? I thought of the 900 men and women - sons and daughters, husbands and wives, friends and neighbors, who won’t be returning to their own hometowns. I thought of the families I’ve met who were struggling to get by without a loved one’s full income, or whose loved ones had returned with a limb missing or nerves shattered, but who still lacked long-term health benefits because they were Reservists. When we send our young men and women into harm’s way, we have a solemn obligation not to fudge the numbers or shade the truth about why they’re going, to care for their families while they’re gone, to tend to the soldiers upon their return, and to never ever go to war without enough troops to win the war, secure the peace, and earn the respect of the world. Now let me be clear. Let me be clear. We have real enemies in the world. These enemies must be found. They must be pursued - and they must be defeated. John Kerry knows this. And just as Lieutenant Kerry did not hesitate to risk his life to protect the men who served with him in Vietnam, President Kerry will not hesitate one moment to use our military might to keep America safe and secure. John Kerry  believes in America. And he knows that it’s not enough for just some of us to prosper. For alongside our famous individualism, there’s another ingredient in the American saga. A belief that we’re all connected as one people. If there is a child on the south side of Chicago who can’t read, that matters to me, even if it’s not my child. If there’s a senior citizen somewhere who can’t pay for their prescription drugs, and has to choose between medicine and the rent, that makes my life poorer, even if it’s not my grandparent. If there’s an Arab American family being rounded up without benefit of an attorney or due process, that threatens my  civil liberties. It is that fundamental belief, it is that fundamental belief, I am my brother’s keeper, I am my sister’s keeper that makes this country work. It’s what allows us to pursue our individual dreams and yet still come together as one American family. E Pluribus Unum. Out of Many, One. Now even as we speak, there are those who are preparing to divide us, the spin masters, the negative ad peddlers who embrace the politics of anything goes. Well, I say to them tonight, there is not a liberal America and a conservative America - there is the United States of America. There is not a Black America and a White America and Latino America and Asian America - there’s the United States of America. The pundits, the pundits like to slice-and-dice our country into Red States and Blue States; Red States for Republicans, Blue States for Democrats. But I’ve got news for them, too: We worship an awesome God in the Blue States, and we don’t like federal agents poking around in our libraries in the Red States. We coach Little League in the Blue States and yes, we’ve got some gay friends in the Red States. There are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq and there are patriots who supported the war in Iraq. We Are One People We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America. In the end, that’s what this election is about. Do we participate in a politics of cynicism or do we participate in a politics of hope? John Kerry calls on us to hope. John Edwards calls on us to hope. I’m not talking about blind optimism here - the almost willful ignorance that thinks unemployment will go away if we just don’t think about it, or the health care crisis will solve itself if we just ignore it. That’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about something more substantial. It’s the hope of slaves sitting around a fire singing freedom songs. The hope of immigrants setting out for distant shores. The hope of a young naval lieutenant bravely patrolling the Mekong Delta. The hope of a millworker’s son who dares to defy the odds. The hope of a skinny kid with a funny name who believes that America has a place for him, too. Hope in the face of difficulty. Hope in the face of uncertainty. The audacity of hope! In the end, that is God’s greatest gift to us, the bedrock of this nation. A belief in things not seen. A belief that there are better days ahead. I believe that we can give our middle class relief and provide working families with a road to opportunity. I believe we can provide jobs to the jobless, homes to the homeless, and reclaim young people in cities across America from violence and despair. I believe that we have a righteous wind at our backs and that as we stand on the crossroads of history, we can make the right choices, and meet the challenges that face us. America! Young Introduction Comorbidity, is a part of the addiction that is widely overlooked by counselors and those that treat the addicted persons. Meaning that it is more than likely not treated, mainly in part due to the lack of properly trained professionals that can recognize as Capuzzi Stauffer put it, for a client to present with a single addiction, without a coexisting addiction or addictions, or coexisting psychiatric disorders would be the exception rather than the rule. Symptoms Psychology Today says, Substance abuse is, a maladaptive pattern of substance use manifested by recurrent and significant adverse consequences related to the repeated use of substances. Individuals who abuse substances may experience such harmful consequences of substance use as repeated failure to fulfill roles for which they are responsible, legal difficulties, or social and interpersonal problems. The Ritual Stage of Addiction. The ritual stage of addiction is perhaps the most dangerous part of addiction, to the health of the addict causes physical harm as well as having a great impact on their psychological well being. After all addictions are a behavior so to try to stop an addiction one faces many challenges. The ritual stage is where the user uses a process to obtain, use and react to their drug of choice. This is the point where the addict becomes fully consumed in his/her addiction and the things that are related to their abuse. Obtaining, using, and responding which turns into a habitual cycle, which becomes repetitious this is the way that the addict achieves their psychological satisfaction. The non-natives took action to downgrade the Shuswap from advancing further in their destiny for a better future, causing them to go back to second hand occupations. Now that the history hits them again, they refused to be puppets and caused rallies to the government for a better life. Declarations have been signed, social development and economic development became prosperous and the Shuswap people now living a happy life again. Although this sounds like a downward spiral that goes back up again, The Shuswap people of today will be looking forward to not go down that road again.
